Create your first log cabin quilt as you master the techniques to making sewing easier than ever before. In this quilting techniques course, students will learn about fabric, needle, stitch, and thread selection. You will also learn pattern reading, piecing, quilting, and binding techniques, in addition to the importance of proper seam allowance and pressing. Students will explore cutting methods and apply die cut designs to their quilts, along with learning construction of quilts, sewing machine operation, and free motion quilting. Simple sewing machines will be provided. Basic sewing supplies will be available for use in class; however, students are encouraged to bring their own. Quilting fabric will not be supplied.
