BATTING RAIL KIT VILLA FRAME
Better Batting Protection for the Loft & Villa Quilt Frames. The Baby Lock Gallant XL and the Handi Quilter Moxie XL can use a batting rail to keep it off the floor and prevent wrinkles in your quilt sandwich. Baby Lock's Villa Long arm quilting frame and Handi Quilter's Loft frame can use this aftermarket batting rail. The oversized rail makes it fast to wrap the batting.
To install the batting rail remove the release paper from the adhesive pad on the two flange couplings. Clean and dry between the U channels below the belly rail. Adhere the two flange couplings close to the weldnuts on the frame. Insert the long slip coupling on one side of the split rail. Apply a small amount of petroleum jelly inside the lip of the previously installed flange couplings to make it easier to rotate the batting rail. Insert the two halves of the batting rail into the flange couplings. Slide the long slip coupling where the two halves of the batting rail meet. Taping the long slip coupling to the rails is not essential, but it is an option. Lay the batting on the rail and use the 4 Quick Quilt Clamps to hold it in position.
